Good news for electricity consumers, Consumers will get a relief of Rs 2.65 per unit in the electricity bills of September this year from the federal government.
According to the announcement of the Government of Pakistan Power Division, the September electricity bills have decreased by Rs 2.93 per unit as compared to the previous month due to fuel price adjustment. While the quarterly adjustment increased by Rs 1.74 per unit.
The statement said that combining the two adjustments, agricultural and domestic consumers consuming up to 300 units of electricity will get a relief of Rs 2.19 inclusive of tax per unit in their September bills, while all other consumers will get relief of Rs 2.65 inclusive of tax per unit.
It should be remembered that the price of electricity per unit was increased by one rupee 74 paise yesterday. According to the notification, the increase in electricity prices has been done in the form of quarterly adjustments, the increase will apply to the consumers of K Electric including DISCOs.
