Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf, Barrister Gohar Ali, has said that it is hoped that the Election Commission will not put up any hurdles and will recognize our intra-party elections.
Speaking to the media outside the Election Commission in Islamabad, Barrister Gohar said that PTI had conducted the best intra-party elections, and no one had objected to the intra-party elections.
Barrister Gauhar said that only one point was raised in the letter issued by the Election Commission, I as the party chairman had issued a notification to the party officials, and the Supreme Court had accepted my notification.
He said that the Election Commission applied to the Supreme Court to accept whose confirmation, no PTI structure is available, this was wrong because our structure is available.
The PTI chairman said that the documents were before the Election Commission, and we had submitted the answer to the Election Commission’s question to the Supreme Court, on this the Supreme Court ordered the Election Commission on September 14, to leave the reserved seats, the existing 40 Notification of MNEs.
Barrister Gohar Ali further said that there is a hearing on October 2, hopefully, the issue will be resolved this time, as the Supreme Court has already resolved this issue.
PTI intra-party election: Barrister Gauhar seeks more respite
Earlier, Barrister Gauhar appeared before the Election Commission where a 3 member bench headed by member Nisar Durrani heard the case.
Barrister Gauhar said that today we are filing the application, give us one more time and 10 days.
Member Commission asked where your party elections were held. In a flash?
Barrister Gauhar said that we have given 1365 pages of documents, our elections were held across the country, we had the best intra-party polls, and we will support you.
The Member Election Commission said that if we do not recognize the intra-party election, then what will happen, you have not held an election in five years, now we did not ask you to hold an election, you should hold an election yourself.
Barrister Gauhar said that you have come with hope, you have done what you had to do.
