The 100 index of the stock market increased by 615 points from which the index was seen trading at 80 thousand 106 points.
On the other hand, the dollar became cheaper by 8 paise against the rupee at the start of inter-bank business, after which the price of the dollar became 278 rupees 5 paise.
The dollar rate closed at Rs 278, 13 paise on the first day of the business week.
