Attracting Tourists Will Benefit the Economy: President Asif Ali Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari stated that tourism promotes understanding among people from diverse cultures across the globe. He emphasized that tourism is an effective way to connect nations and that attracting tourists will be beneficial for our economy.

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the President of the State has said in his message that today we are celebrating World Tourism Day 2024 on the theme of ‘Tourism and Peace’, tourism helps promote peace, harmony, and goodwill around the world. Yes, there are immense opportunities for tourism in Pakistan.

He said that Pakistan is blessed with magnificent landscapes, mountains, vast deserts, and beautiful coastline.

The President said that Pakistan has also been the cradle of the Indus Valley and Gandhara civilizations, the Indus Valley and Gandhara civilizations make Pakistan an attractive place for spiritual exploration and cultural discovery.

He says that there is a need to highlight the real tourism potential of Pakistan, I urge the media to play a positive role in this regard, tourism is an important source of income.

President Asif Ali Zardari says that the development of roads and tourism infrastructure should be a priority to increase tourism, increasing the necessary facilities for tourists will encourage them, tourists can enjoy our natural scenery and religious places.

He also said that by creating an accessible environment we can attract more tourists.

It should be remembered that today various events will be organized across the country on the occasion of World Tourism Day.

Preparations have been started to celebrate Tourism Day in a grand manner organized by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab.

According to the programs organized in connection with the International Day, many initiatives will be implemented in each region and citizens will also be informed about tourism.

This year, instead of uniform programs, each region’s programs have been designed according to their regional trends and people’s preferences.
