A parliamentary committee has been formed for the appointment of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, the National Assembly Secretariat has issued a notification.
Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Shaista Pervez Malik from PML-N, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Naveed Qamar from Peoples Party, Rana Ansar from MQM are included in the committee, Barrister Gohar Ali, Sahibzada from PTI. Hamid Raza is a part of the committee, The senators committee includes Farooq Naik, Azam Nazir Tarar, Kamran Murtaza, and Ali Zafar.
On the other hand, a meeting of the parliamentary committee on the appointment of the Chief Justice of Pakistan was convened at four o’clock tomorrow. , the names of Justice Muneeb Akhtar and Justice Yahya Afridi are included.
Apart from this, Rana Ansar from MQM, Barrister Gohar from PTI, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Senator Farooq H. Naik, and Senator Kamran Murtaza are also part of the committee.
PTI has decided not to participate in the parliamentary committee.
