Islamabad: There is good news for federal employees as the Ministry of Housing and Construction has prepared a plan to increase the monthly rental ceiling for government employees.
The Ministry of Housing has sent the formula for increasing the rental ceiling to the Finance Division for approval. After receiving the feedback from the Finance Division, the Ministry of Housing and Construction will send a summary for final approval to the Prime Minister.
A 100% increase in the rental ceiling has been proposed for employees in Grades 1 to 10, a 75% increase for employees in Grades 11 to 16, and a 50% increase for officers in Grades 17 to 22.
According to sources, it is proposed that the monthly ceiling for Islamabad employees in Grades 1 and 2 will be 14,058 rupees, and for other cities, it will be 13,182 rupees. For employees in Grades 3 to 6, the ceiling for Islamabad is proposed to be 21,960 rupees, while for other cities, it will be 19,308 rupees.
For Grades 7 to 10, the proposed ceiling for Islamabad is 28,705 rupees, and for other cities, it is 25,693 rupees.
For Grades 11 to 13, the proposed ceiling for Islamabad is 43,302 rupees and 37,558 rupees for other cities. For Grades 14 to 16, the proposed ceiling for Islamabad is 54,399 rupees, while for other cities, it is proposed to be 47,784 rupees.
For Grades 17 and 18, the proposed ceiling for Islamabad is 61,720 rupees and 53,847 rupees for other cities.
