A decision has been made to grant Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership of four additional standing committees.
According to sources, the election for the chairpersons of the four committees has commenced. It has been decided that PTI’s Chief Whip Amir Dogar will be appointed as the chairman of the Standing Committee on Religious Affairs.
Sources indicate that a meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Religious Affairs was held, during which Amir Dogar was elected unopposed as chairman. No member opposed his appointment, and both the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) supported him.
