Baku: To combat environmental pollution, climate change, and global warming, ‘Coup 29’ was launched in Baku, Azerbaijan. Hundreds of leaders and experts from around the world are participating in ‘Coup 29’. According to foreign media reports, the 29th meeting of the Conference of the Parties will continue until November 22, in which the reduction of carbon emissions and the method of dealing with global warming and the provision of financial resources for this purpose will be discussed.
COP 29 will discuss the provision of financial resources to developing countries to deal with the effects of climate change. That is why the main point of this meeting is the financial aspect, which is named Climate Finance COP. Before the world summit on climate change, scientists have released the latest data on global warming, according to which 2024 is shaping up to be the hottest year on record. For the first time since the establishment of the Taliban regime, an Afghan delegation will represent Afghanistan at an environmental conference in Azerbaijan.
According to a foreign news agency, the spokesperson of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that a delegation of Afghanistan consisting of officials of the National Environmental Protection Agency has arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the COP 29 summit in Baku.
