Beirut: Hezbollah Spokesperson Martyred in Israeli Attack

Israeli military forces did not issue any evacuation orders via social media platform X before the strike. This attack is seen as a continuation of Israel’s policy to not only target Hezbollah’s military officials but also to eliminate other leaders of the organization. Israel aims to destroy Hezbollah’s capabilities across all sectors, including economic, social, political, and military.

Mohammad Afif had previously managed the Al-Manar television station for several years before becoming the head of Hezbollah’s public relations. He had frequently held press conferences to highlight Israel’s brutal actions and the destruction in Beirut. In his last contact with media representatives on November 11, Afif stated that Israel’s military could not capture any area in Lebanon and that Hezbollah had sufficient weapons and resources to sustain a prolonged fight.

This attack is another major blow to Hezbollah following the martyrdom of former leader Hassan Nasrallah at the end of September, who was also killed in an Israeli strike on a residential building in the Dahieh area of Beirut.
