The body of a Jewish citizen who was allegedly kidnapped three days ago was found in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while the Emirati government arrested 3 people on suspicion of murder.
According to reports from foreign news agencies, Jewish religious leader (Rabbi) Zvi Kogan, 28, went missing in the UAE on Thursday. Zvi Kogan’s body was found in the Emirati city of Al Ain, which borders Oman, but it is still unclear whether he was killed there or dumped there after being killed elsewhere.
In a statement issued by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office, it was said that the Israeli government will bring those responsible for this incident to justice in any case.
According to Israeli media, Rabbi Zvi Kogan, who has dual citizenship of Israel and the European country of Moldova, traveled to Dubai on a Moldovan passport. Ayub Kara, a member of Israel’s ruling right-wing party, Likud Party, gave a speech in English in Dubai. In the interview, he said he was waiting for the UAE to complete its investigation, and he blamed Iran for the murder.
Ayoub Kar, who works to promote economic relations between Israel and Arab countries, said that the body will be sent to Israel for burial after the investigation by the United Arab Emirates is completed.
According to foreign media, the Emirati and Israeli authorities have not yet said who is involved in the killing and what could be its motive.
