South Africa Announces Squad For T20 Series Against Pakistan

South Africa announced the squad for the T20 series against Pakistan.

According to the details, Henry Klaasen will lead the South African T20 team due to the unavailability of the permanent captain Aiden Markram.

Apart from captain Markram, some key all-format players from the South African team are also not part of the squad, including Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, and Tristan Stubbs. All these players have been given rest for the ODI series against Pakistan.

On the other hand, fast bowler Enrich Nurkia and spinner Tabriz Shamsi will return to the team for the first time after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in June.

Heinrich Klaasen, Otniel Baartman, Matthew Braetzke, Donovan Ferreira, Reza Hendricks, Patrick Kruger, George Linde, Kiwana Mfaka, David Miller, Enrich Noorkia, Nicaba Peter, Ryan Rickleton, Tabriz Shamsi, Andile Similin and Reci Vander Dyson.

Matthew Bretzke, Koena Mfaka, and Ryan Rickleton will join the squad after completing the Test series against Sri Lanka, while Tabriz Shamsi’s inclusion in the first T20 could be difficult due to the ongoing Global Super League in Guyana.
