Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that illegal resident foreigners will not be allowed to stay in Islamabad.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was met by Acting Ambassador of America Natalie Baker. In the meeting, Pakistan-US relations and increasing bilateral cooperation were discussed. In the meeting, the organization of the ICC Champions Trophy tournament in Pakistan was also discussed.
Natalie Baker expressed her best wishes for holding the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. He also expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of police and Rangers personnel in Islamabad in recent days.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that he wants to make FIA a modern institution along the lines of the FBI. And the FIA would welcome the US for support on reforms.
He said that US cooperation is important in increasing the capacity of law enforcement agencies. And provision of modern equipment to the civil armed forces to deal with emergencies is the need of the hour.
Mohsin Naqvi said that equipping the civil armed forces with modern tools and equipment is the priority. The excellent relations between Pakistan and the United States span many decades.
He said that no foreigner with legal documents is being deported from Islamabad. However, illegal resident foreigners will not be allowed to stay in Islamabad.
