The International Cricket Council (ICC) remains deadlocked on the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule due to which the announcement of the schedule has been delayed.
According to Cricinfo, the scheduling issue could not be resolved due to which the ICC has canceled the scheduled ceremony which was earlier scheduled for November 11. The cricket website says that due to India’s matches not being decided. The event was scrapped, with the ICC planning to announce the official schedule on November 11 in Lahore.
The official concerned has said that the schedule is yet to be confirmed, discussions are ongoing with the boards of the host and participating teams regarding the schedule. The cricket website says that the ICC has not responded to this development. While the ICC held the event, the schedule was also to be announced at the event.
On the other hand, PCB sources have said that this was the flag-off of the trophy tour and the tournament branding launch, the event is still being worked on, and maybe it will be rescheduled. Sources said that outdoor activities are difficult in Lahore these days, the schedule of the event was neither confirmed nor announced, so they cannot say anything about it.
