DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry has said that there will be no justice for the planners connected with Noumei, the chain of justice will continue until the planners of May 9 are brought to justice.

Director General (DG) of Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department (ISPR) Lt. Gen. Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry said that the important issues of 2024, especially issues related to national security, changing regional situation, national defense, internal security, etc. And this year, they will talk about what is being done regarding counter-terrorism.

He further said that he would also discuss the training exercises of the armed forces and the measures taken for the welfare of the people.

He said that security forces have conducted a total of 59 thousand 775 operations this year, in these operations 925 terrorists including Khawarij were sent to hell.

He said that in these intelligence operations, weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of terrorists.

DG ISPR said that it will continue till the end of last resort against anti-national terrorists, Pakistan will leave no stone unturned to protect its borders and citizens.

He said that security forces killed 27 Afghan terrorists in their operations.

DG ISPR further informed that more than 179 operations are being conducted daily by the Pakistan Army, law enforcement intelligence agencies, and police.

He said that during security operations forces successfully eliminated 73 high-value targets, the most wanted terrorists.

He said that during these operations, 383 officers and soldiers martyred themselves while fighting bravely.

He said that the Army Chief said that every Pakistani is a soldier in the war against terrorism.

He said that the gap in governance, the defects and flaws in it, are being filled by the sacrifices of our martyrs every day.

He said that India had violated the border 25 times this year.

He said that the Afghan authorities are asked not to give priority to these foreign terrorists over Pakistan, the life and safety of a Pakistani comes first to Afghanistan. If so, should we sit and watch the spectacle?

He said that those who propagate duplicitous politics, I question that the officers who were martyred, were they not the lion-hearted youth of this country and province?

DG ISPR said that due to the operation in 2021, the back of Khawarij was broken, and they were on the run, my question is who resettled them on whose decision and allowed them to continue.

He said that these decisions that we are suffering the consequences of, the writings of these decisions are being washed away with their blood every day.

He said that if a leader is unable to understand, a party is bent on imposing its will, then what should be discussed with him? Even if a leader says that he lacks the ability to learn from his mistakes and thinks that he knows everything, the nation pays for such attitudes with its own blood and we are paying.

DG ISPR said that instead of creating a narrative of dialogue and playing politics on it, the focus should be on better governance, now is the time not to politicize terrorism.

Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, in response to the question of the punishments pending on May 9, said that the position of the forces regarding May 9 is clear and consistent and that May 9 is not Pakistan’s case but the people of Pakistan’s case, this is clear. Should be, the planners connected to Nomai will not be punished until they are punished.

He said that if any faction, armed, and violent group attempts to impose its will and thinking on society in this manner, and if this behavior is not stopped according to the law and constitution, then where will we lead our society?

Continuing his speech, he said that as far as the punishments are concerned, see the process in the spirit of the Supreme Court’s decision in 2023, the people who were sent to military courts were frozen, recently. In light of the 7-judge bench ruling on it, the sentencing process has now been completed.

Continuing with his statement, he said that under the prevailing law, based on evidence and proof, after fulfilling all legal requirements, the process of sentencing those involved in the May 9th violence, who were sent to military courts as per the law, has been completed. This decision sends a clear message that such matters have no room, and in the future, anyone involved in such issues will be punished according to the constitution and law, without exception.
