Rawalpindi: The list of 108 gifts received by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman Imran Khan as Prime Minister was presented in the court in the Tosha Khana 2 case.
According to the details, Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjamand heard the case in Adiala Jail. Founder PTI Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi appeared in the court, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar, Salman Akram Raja, and Faisal Chaudhry were also present in the court on the occasion of the hearing.
During the hearing, the statement of Cabinet Division Section Officer Benjamin was recorded. Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Arshad Tabrez partially cross-examined the witness, which will be completed at the next hearing. At the next hearing, founder PTI’s lawyer Salman Safdar will also cross-examine the witness.
In the Toshakhana 2 case, the witness produced a 100-page record in the court. On behalf of the witness, a list of 108 gifts received by PTI founder Imran Khan as Prime Minister and 2 registers related to Tosha Khana gift records were also presented in the court. The witness also presented the legal procedure of the private appraiser in the court. Later, the court adjourned the Tosha Khana 2 case till January 2.
It should be noted that a total of 3 witnesses have been recorded in the Tosha Khana 2 case. It may be recalled that on September 12, 2024, a 3-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of FIA was formed to investigate the Tosha Khana 2 case.
After the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the NAB amendments, the Accountability Court transferred the Tosha Khana 2 reference against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi from NAB to FIA.
Earlier, the court had ordered to transfer of the record of Tosha Khana 2 reference to the court of Special Judge Central. On July 13, the NAB arrested Imran Khan and his wife in a new reference of Tosha Khana immediately after getting bail in the Iddat Nikah case.
According to the inquiry report of NAB, the new case is related to the possession and sale of 10 valuable gifts including 7 watches.
