The policy of minimum marks of 40 to pass the examinations under all the education boards of the province of Punjab will be applicable from the year 2026.
Orders were issued to all education boards across Punjab regarding the implementation of the new policy. According to the new policy, candidates must score a minimum of 40 marks to pass.
From this year, the passing marks were to be increased from 33 to 40. The final approval of the decision has not yet been taken from the Punjab Cabinet. The Higher Education Department has also prepared a summary for the approval of the policy.
Along with the increase in the marks, the grading formula will also be implemented for the examinations. The Higher Education Department has formally started working to get the approval of the important changes in the examination system.
