Today, teams score more than 300 runs in an ODI match. A batsman made history by playing an innings of 346 runs alone.
After the introduction of T20 cricket, ODI cricket has also gained momentum and during a decade it has become normal for teams to score more than 300 runs in a 50 overs match many batsmen have also scored double centuries, but no one has scored so far. Even the most aggressive batsman could not score an unbeaten triple-century.
This unique feat in the history of cricket was accomplished in a domestic match in India. In this match, 14-year-old batsman Ira Jadhav, representing the Mumbai Under-19 Women’s team, played an unbeaten individual innings of 346 runs. In this record-setting match played against Meghalaya in Alwar, Ira Jadhav struck a brilliant strike of 220.38 off 157 balls. Scored 346 runs not out at the rate.
Her innings included 42 fours and 16 sixes. It should be noted that the honor of playing the biggest individual innings in Women’s Under-19 belongs to South Africa’s Azle Lee. He played an individual innings of 427 runs against Kai Club in 2010 while representing M. Pomalinaga.
