Islamabad Airport has been completely included in the boundaries of Rawalpindi.
The Home Department of Punjab has issued a formal notification declaring five villages of Attock as the limits of Rawalpindi.
Islamabad Airport’s runway, ASF colony, main terminal building, and an area of 3 km were included in the boundaries of Attock. With this move, the runway, terminal building, and residential colony will now be within the boundaries of Rawalpindi.
Due to the boundaries of Attock and Rawalpindi, passengers used to face difficulties in legal issues, now all areas of Islamabad Airport have been connected with Naseerabad police station.
Pakistan Airports Authority has confirmed the addition of different areas of Islamabad Airport from Attock to Rawalpindi.
