ISLAMABAD: The prices of 14 essential items have increased in one week.
According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, the trend of reduction in inflation rate continued for the fourth consecutive week in the country.
In recent weeks, the rate of increase in inflation in the country has decreased from 1.16 percent to the lowest level of 0.52 percent. According to the official data, the weekly rate of inflation has decreased by 0.77 percent, while the rate of inflation has also decreased on an annual basis. The pace of growth has slowed down to 0.52 percent.
According to the report, the prices of 12 essential commodities decreased and 14 commodities increased while the prices of 25 commodities remained stable in the last week.
Tomatoes became cheaper by 33%, eggs by 10.23%, onions by 10%, potatoes by 7.37%, lentils by 1.61% and chicken by 1%.
Similarly, a slight decrease was recorded in the prices of dal mash, jaggery, and LPG. In contrast to these items, sugar, banana, garlic, rice, ghee, dal mung, and wood have become expensive in a week.
The statistics show that the rate of increase in inflation for the group having income up to 17 thousand 732 rupees per month on an annualized basis during the recent week in terms of the decimal of sensitive prices decreased by 1.04 percent to 0.52 percent, from 17 thousand 733 rupees to 22 The rate of increase in inflation was 0.52% with a decrease of 0.97% for the group having income up to 1,888 rupees per month.
Similarly, the rate of increase in inflation for the group having income from 22 thousand 889 rupees to 29 thousand 517 rupees per month decreased by 0.45% with a decrease of 0.83%, and for the group having income from 29 thousand 518 rupees to 44 thousand 175 rupees per month, the rate of increase in inflation increased. The rate was 0.48% with a decrease of 0.80% from 44 thousand 176 rupees per month. For the higher income group, the rate of increase in inflation has been 1.03 percent with a decrease of 0.70 percent.
