India’s renowned comedians Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover’s feud is no secret. Sunil Grover gained immense popularity for his roles as Gutthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati in comedy shows.
In 2018, a serious altercation between Kapil and Sunil led to their professional split. The incident occurred while they were returning from a show in Australia, where a heated argument broke out, prompting Sunil to quit working with Kapil.
The duo did not communicate for six years but reunited last year for The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix.
Now, Kapil’s co-star Rajiv Shukla has addressed reports of Kapil facing financial losses due to Sunil’s absence. He stated that calling Sunil the soul of the show wouldn’t be wrong.
In an interview with Indian media, Rajiv questioned, “Who doesn’t fight? If their feud was that serious, then how are they still working together and shooting today? Money can compel you to work together, but if you observe the set’s atmosphere, you’ll see that Kapil and Sunil genuinely enjoy each other’s company.”
The actor-comedian further asserted that neither Kapil nor Sunil struggled with their careers after their fallout, meaning neither of them suffered any financial loss.
