Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that Saudi citizens do not need a visa to visit Pakistan; they can come to Pakistan whenever they wish.
Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malki, at the Saudi Embassy in the Diplomatic Enclave. The Saudi ambassador warmly welcomed the interior minister. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, promotion of bilateral relations, and enhancement of cooperation were discussed.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed gratitude to the government of Saudi Arabia and the ambassador for their strong support in Pakistan’s economic and social sectors.
He also thanked Saudi Arabia for sending a high-level delegation to participate in the Pakistan-Gulf Cooperation Council Anti-Narcotics Conference and stated that Pakistan wants to strengthen cooperation with Saudi Arabia in combating drug trafficking and human smuggling.
He further said that new conditions are being introduced for obtaining passports to curb beggary and illegal immigration, and a crackdown on the begging mafia is underway.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also thanked the Saudi government and the ambassador for their full cooperation in the release of an innocent family involved in a drug-related case.
On this occasion, the Saudi ambassador said that Saudi Arabia has extremely close relations with Pakistan and wishes to further strengthen them.
