Rawalpindi (IPS) – Judicial Magistrate Qamar Abbas Tarrar has approved the post-arrest bail plea of PTI leader Alia Hamza.
On Friday, police registered a case against Alia Hamza and five workers for blocking the road and threatening the police during a workers’ convention in Rawalpindi’s airport area, leading to their arrest.
She was ordered to be sent to Adiala Jail on a 14-day judicial remand, but the magistrate later approved her release upon submission of surety bonds worth one lakh rupees.
A panel of lawyers, including renowned legal expert Muhammad Faisal Malik, appeared on behalf of Alia Hamza, representing the PTI founder.
Currently detained in Jhelum Jail, Alia Hamza’s bail bonds will be sent to Jhelum District Jail for processing.
The defense lawyer stated that bail has been granted today, and they will proceed with her release from jail.
