The Sindh Education Department has officially announced summer vacations across the province and issued a formal notification in this regard.
According to the circular, all public and private schools and colleges will remain closed from June 1 to July 31, 2025. The holidays will apply uniformly to all educational institutions throughout Sindh.
The department stated that the decision aims to ensure the health and safety of students, teachers, and staff amid extreme heat conditions. All institutions have been directed to suspend academic activities from June 1, with classes set to resume on August 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, in Punjab, due to rising temperatures, the government has announced early summer vacations and shortened school hours across the province.
According to reports, the Ministry of Education has ordered the immediate closure of all second-shift schools from Wednesday, May 21, due to the intense heat and hot winds. Morning shift schools and colleges will also begin vacations earlier than scheduled, starting from May 28.
As per the notification issued by the Education Department, summer holidays in Punjab will last until August 14, and all educational institutions will reopen on August 15.
