President Asif Ali Zardari stated that India’s Hindutva ideology poses a serious threat to the entire region, expressing deep concern over the inhumane treatment of Muslims and other minorities in India.
During a meeting at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, PPP leaders and party workers extended Eid greetings to the President. On the occasion, President Zardari emphasized the need for collective efforts to ensure the progress and prosperity of the country. He stressed that strengthening the national economy on solid foundations and achieving self-reliance is the need of the hour.
He also underlined that agriculture is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy and that the country’s development should be driven by the growth of the agricultural sector. Supporting farmers, he said, is key to boosting the national economy.
Expressing concern over rising extremism in India, President Zardari reiterated that minorities—particularly Muslims and Christians—are being subjected to inhumane treatment, and warned that the spread of Hindutva ideology in India is detrimental to regional stability.
