Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that the people of both Pakistan and India desire peace, and that the narrative of hatred and division will be buried.
Speaking to the media after briefing members of the British Parliament, Bilawal Bhutto said that Pakistan is looking toward the future, not the past. He emphasized that peace in the region benefits everyone, and only those who raise their voice for peace will ultimately succeed.
Bilawal said that India seeks to divide not only its people but also the region. He expressed confidence, saying, “God willing, the message of peace will triumph, and India’s message of war will fail.” He reiterated that Pakistan wants unconditional and comprehensive dialogue with India, adding that conflicts cannot be resolved through war, but only through negotiations. He also emphasized that the Kashmir issue remains unresolved.
Addressing a British think tank, Bilawal Bhutto said that the Modi government’s threat to block water is tantamount to a declaration of war.
Leading a diplomatic delegation, Bilawal also met with British Parliamentary Under Secretary Hamish Falconer. The meeting included discussions on rising regional tensions in the context of Indian military provocations.
