Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Asim Munir, on Saturday issued a strong warning to any hostile entities, asserting that Pakistan will respond swiftly and decisively to any violation of its sovereignty.
Speaking during a high-level security briefing at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, the Army Chief emphasized that the armed forces are fully prepared to counter any aggression, whether conventional or hybrid.
“Any attempt to challenge Pakistan’s territorial integrity will be dealt with iron hands. Our defense is unwavering,” he stated.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s Resolve
General Munir reiterated that Pakistan’s sovereignty is non-negotiable, and the country’s military remains vigilant on all fronts. He said the armed forces are alert to threats from across all borders, including land, sea, air, and cyber.
He also highlighted that regional peace cannot be achieved by ignoring Pakistan’s national interest.

Regional Context
This statement comes amid increasing tensions in the region, particularly along the eastern and western borders, where security forces have intercepted several infiltration attempts and drone violations.
The Army Chief’s remarks follow recent military developments and diplomatic statements from neighboring countries. Analysts believe the message is also directed at external powers testing Pakistan’s red lines.
Public Reaction & Political Support
Political leaders across the spectrum backed the COAS’s message. Defense analysts also supported the firm stance as essential for national security.
“The Army Chief’s warning is a clear red line. No one should misjudge Pakistan’s defense capacity,” said a retired general in a talk show appearance.
