Flash Floods And Heavy Rain Kill 64 Across Pakistan In One Week: NDMA

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) confirmed that 64 people lost their lives across Pakistan within a week due to flash floods and heavy rain. This extreme weather has severely impacted Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan.

Moreover, dozens of homes were damaged, roads blocked, and families forced to evacuate.

NDMA Issues Death Toll Update

According to NDMA, most casualties occurred because of drowning, roof collapses, and electric shocks. While rescue teams arrived swiftly, rural areas faced delays due to poor access roads.

So far, over 90 individuals have sustained injuries. The government has mobilized all available emergency units to manage the crisis.

Relief and Rescue Continue Despite Challenges

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army, NDMA, and Rescue 1122 are working round-the-clock. Relief camps have been set up. Victims are receiving food, medical care, and shelter.

However, continued rainfall has made many areas unreachable, which complicates ongoing operations.
