The Multan cybercrime network has been dismantled by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) during a well-coordinated operation across Southern Punjab. This successful action targeted individuals involved in online fraud, digital blackmail, and identity theft.
NCCIA Tracks Multan Cybercrime Network
Acting on technical intelligence, NCCIA launched a raid that led to the arrest of multiple suspects linked to the network. Authorities seized over 100 fake SIM cards, forged CNICs, and devices used for scamming victims online.
Officials confirmed that the gang operated sophisticated phishing schemes and illegally accessed banking data. A senior NCCIA spokesperson stated, “This network exploited digital loopholes to target innocent users, especially in rural Punjab.”
Digital Safety Urged by Authorities
Citizens have been advised to stay alert and report suspicious digital activity to cybercrime units. Public awareness is being raised in collaboration with PTA’s Cybersecurity Wing.
