Iran has reaffirmed its commitment to the Iran nuclear treaty, emphasizing its continued cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In a statement released this week, the Iranian Foreign Ministry clarified that the nation remains a compliant signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Iran Nuclear Treaty Supports Peaceful Nuclear Development
Officials confirmed that Iran’s nuclear program is strictly for peaceful purposes such as energy production, medicine, and scientific advancement. The statement further urged other nations to avoid politicizing nuclear cooperation and to respect diplomatic protocols.
“Our stance is clear — Iran’s nuclear activities will remain transparent and peaceful,” said an Iranian diplomat.
Diplomatic Appeal for Fair Implementation of Treaty Terms
Iran appealed to all member states to uphold their obligations under the treaty. It also reiterated its readiness for transparent dialogue aimed at maintaining regional peace and avoiding escalation.
