A tragic incident has come to light in Karachi’s Defence Phase 6 area, where the decomposed body of renowned actress Humaira Asghar Ali was recovered from a flat in Ittehad Commercial. According to police, the incident surfaced today at around 3:15 PM when a police and bailiff team arrived to vacate the apartment under court orders.
When the door remained unanswered, officials forced entry and found the woman’s body lying on the floor, which appeared to be several days old. Police immediately collected evidence from the scene and shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem examination.
Officials stated that the flat owner had approached the court due to the actress’s continued failure to pay rent, which led to the eviction action. The body was identified as actress Humaira Asghar Ali, who had been living alone in the flat for the past seven years.
Police Surgeon Dr. Samia confirmed that the body brought to the hospital was badly decomposed, and various samples have been collected for forensic testing. The exact cause of death will only be known after the post-mortem report.
According to neighbors, the actress did not interact much with residents and was reportedly facing financial difficulties. She did not own a personal vehicle and had moved to Karachi from Lahore in 2018. Police also revealed that she had not paid the flat’s rent since 2024.
It is worth mentioning that Humaira Asghar Ali had participated in ARY’s reality show Tamasha Ghar and also appeared in the 2015 film Jalaibee. Police are investigating the incident from all angles to uncover the facts behind this tragic death.
