A tragic incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Rawat Police Station in Rawalpindi, where a man allegedly shot and killed his 16-year-old daughter in the name of honour. According to the initial police report, the incident took place when the father asked his daughter to delete her TikTok account. Upon her refusal, he became enraged and opened fire, killing her on the spot.
According to the FIR filed by police, the incident took place in Dhok Choudrian, near Takht Pari in Rawat, where a man named Ikhlaq Ahmed repeatedly told his daughter Mehak Shehzadi to shut down her social media accounts. When she did not comply, Ikhlaq Ahmed, in a fit of rage and so-called honour, fired multiple shots at her, resulting in her immediate death.
Police officials stated that initially, the family tried to present the incident as a suicide. However, based on the collected evidence, the investigation revealed it was a case of murder. The police moved the body for a post-mortem and registered a case after collecting all necessary evidence from the crime scene.
Police further stated that Ikhlaq Ahmed not only killed his daughter but also committed an act of spreading corruption on earth. The accused fled the scene, and raids are being conducted to arrest him. Investigations are ongoing from all possible angles.
