The schedule for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been fully finalized, with eight teams set to compete for the first time. A key meeting was held between PSL management and franchise representatives to discuss the schedule and other important matters.
According to sources, PSL 11 will once again take place during the Indian Premier League (IPL). Due to the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup next year, the PSL has been scheduled for April and May 2025, with the possibility of additional venues being considered for the event.
This time, the inclusion of two new teams is expected, increasing the total number of teams from six to eight. PSL management has already initiated contact with potential investors, and several business figures have expressed interest in purchasing new franchises. With the addition of these two teams, the previously fixed December-January window for PSL has been scrapped.
During the meeting, franchise owners raised concerns about the poor quality of pitches in the previous season and also stressed the urgent appointment of an audit firm for team valuation. Traditionally held in February and March, this year’s PSL will take place in April and May due to the ICC Champions Trophy.
