Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has made it clear that Imran Khan’s release will not come through any political deal, but solely through a determined legal and judicial battle. Speaking to the media in Peshawar, he asserted that PTI will not rest until Imran Khan is freed through lawful means.
Barrister Gohar stated that August 5 marks the completion of two years since Imran Khan was imprisoned. Despite the long incarceration, Khan remains firm and resolute, just as he was on the very first day. He reaffirmed that Imran Khan was, is, and will remain the leader of PTI, and no force can dismantle the party.
Expressing concern over declining public trust in state institutions and the judiciary, Gohar emphasized that political victimization must end if Pakistan is to progress. He reiterated PTI’s commitment to the strength of the state, the promotion of democracy, and the independence of the judiciary.
He also announced that on August 5, peaceful protests will be held across the country at the Union Council level to demand the immediate release of Imran Khan.
