U.S. President Donald Trump described the Middle East conflict as a problem thousands of years old, saying that achieving lasting peace in Gaza would be an “incredible achievement.”
In an interview with U.S. media, Trump stated that it now seems possible that a nearly 3,000-year-old conflict could finally be resolved. He emphasized that the goal is not only peace in Gaza but establishing stability across the entire region, which he called a historic breakthrough.
White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said that President Trump will draw a “red line” regarding Hamas’s response to the Gaza peace plan. She expressed hope that Hamas will accept the plan, paving the way for lasting peace in the region.
