Riyadh:In a major facilitation move for pilgrims, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced that Umrah can now be performed on all types of visas.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, visitors entering the Kingdom on visit, family visit, tourist, or transit visas will now be allowed to perform Umrah.
The ministry explained that under the new policy, Muslims from across the world will no longer require a specific Umrah visa and can perform the pilgrimage using any valid visa type.
Authorities further stated that the “Nusuk” Umrah portal has been updated to simplify the booking and permit process, making it easier for visitors to obtain approvals. Officials confirmed that this initiative is part of the Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at enhancing facilities for pilgrims and promoting religious tourism.
