Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend as the cost of one tola of gold surged by Rs6,900 today, marking a record-breaking high in the domestic market.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of one tola of gold has climbed to Rs435,100 after today’s sharp increase, setting a new all-time high.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs5,916, bringing the new rate to Rs373,028.
The association further reported that gold prices in the international market have also seen a significant spike, with rates increasing by $69 to reach $4,140 per ounce.
Economic analysts attribute this surge in domestic prices to the sharp rally in the global gold market. The rise reflects growing demand and international price fluctuations, which have directly impacted local rates.
