Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that the final decision regarding the formation of the provincial cabinet will be taken after a meeting with Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan. He said that the names of the cabinet members have not been finalized yet and all important matters will be decided in consultation with the party leadership.
In an informal conversation with the media, the Chief Minister of KP explained that he will soon meet Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, after which final approval will be taken on the names of the cabinet and the distribution of ministries. According to him, the consultation process within the party is ongoing, and no haste is being taken in decision-making so that an effective and functional team can be formed.
Asked about the possible inclusion of Barrister Saif and Muzammil Aslam in the cabinet, Sohail Afridi said that no clear instructions have been received from the party founder in this regard so far. He said that all the names will be decided only with the consultation and approval of Imran Khan.
In response to a question about a possible protest movement in November, the Chief Minister said that he is currently focusing on overseeing administrative and government matters, while decisions regarding political strategy, protest programs, or public movements will be made in consultation with the party leadership and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar.
Sohail Afridi clarified that he will ensure full implementation of the decisions of the opposition alliance and the instructions of the party leadership and maintain harmony between the government and the party.
