PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said in his statement that the PML-N delegation headed by the Prime Minister has sought cooperation for the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
In his statement released on the social media platform X, he said that a delegation of the PML-N led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with President Asif Zardari and me (Bilawal Bhutto Zardari), in which important discussions were held on the draft of the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
He said that the PML-N delegation led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has sought his party’s support for the approval of the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
Bilawal Bhutto said that the proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment includes several important points, including the establishment of a constitutional court, the restoration of executive magistrates, and the power to transfer judges.
In addition, this amendment also includes a proposal to eliminate the protection of the provincial portion in the NFC award, change Article 243, and bring powers such as education and population planning back under the federal government.
Bilawal Bhutto further said that the final decision on this important constitutional issue will be taken by the party’s Central Executive Committee. He said that a meeting has been called on November 6 after President Asif Ali Zardari’s return from Doha, in which party leaders will decide the policy after detailed consultations.
