Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend today, with a further reduction recorded across major bullion markets. According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the precious metal experienced another notable drop on Thursday, bringing both domestic and international rates lower than their recent peak levels.
As per the association’s report, the price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan decreased by Rs. 1,700 per tola, bringing the new rate down to Rs. 441,462. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs. 1,457, reaching Rs. 378,482. This decline marks another significant adjustment in the gold market.
The international market also witnessed a dip, with gold becoming cheaper by $17 per ounce, settling at $4,191. The drop in global prices has directly contributed to the downward movement in the domestic market as well.
Meanwhile, silver rates in Pakistan also fell today. The price of one tola silver dropped by Rs. 85, bringing it to Rs. 6,000, while the price of 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs. 73 to reach Rs. 5,143.
It is worth noting that just a day earlier, on Wednesday, gold prices in Pakistan had fallen by Rs. 1,000 per tola, while the international market saw a decline of $10 per ounce. This indicates a consistent downward trend in gold prices over the past few days.
