There are differing opinions among technology companies on whether artificial intelligence (AI) could threaten people’s jobs around the world.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai has also expressed his stance on the same topic. According to him, AI is a technology from which no job is safe; even his own job may be affected by it. Therefore, people will have to prepare themselves according to the situation.
In a recent interview, Sundar Pichai said, “AI is one of the most important technologies in human history, with countless benefits. We have to continue working on this technology despite social unrest.”
Google itself is also conducting extensive research and development in the field of AI. In October 2025, the company introduced its new model, Gemini 3, which received great acclaim worldwide.
Sundar Pichai acknowledged that while AI will create many new opportunities, some jobs could also become obsolete. “The evolution of this technology will create the need for new skills and jobs, while some sectors may also disappear. So as a society, we need to talk about it openly,” he said.
