The Election Commission has officially announced the schedule for local government elections in Islamabad, confirming that polling will take place on 15 February, with voting hours scheduled from 8 AM to 4 PM.
According to the Election Commission, Returning Officers will display public notices for nomination papers on 19 December, while nomination papers can be submitted from 22 to 27 December.
As per the schedule, scrutiny of nomination papers will be carried out from 30 December to 3 January 2026, followed by appeals which may be filed between 5 and 8 January 2026. Relevant tribunals will decide appeals from 9 to 13 January.
The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers has been fixed as 15 January 2026, while the final list of candidates will be displayed on 16 January, and election symbols will also be allotted on the same day.
Polling for the Islamabad local government elections will take place on 15 February, and the compilation and announcement of results will be carried out from 16 to 19 February.
