Quetta: Mild but noticeable earthquake tremors were once again felt in Barkhan district of Balochistan, triggering panic among residents.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 4.1 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 20 kilometers. The epicenter was located approximately 21 kilometers northeast of Barkhan.
Media reports stated that the sudden tremors caused people to rush out of their homes in fear, reciting prayers, as the ground shook for several seconds.
So far, no reports of loss of life or property damage have been received. However, local authorities have directed relevant departments to assess the situation in affected areas and remain prepared for any potential emergency.
Rescue officials said the situation is being closely monitored and no emergency response has been required so far.
Authorities have urged citizens to remain calm, avoid spreading rumors, rely only on official sources for information, and follow safety precautions after the earthquake.
Following the tremors, residents are exercising caution, while authorities have also intensified public awareness efforts to deal with any unforeseen situation.
It is worth noting that just two days ago, mild earthquake tremors were also recorded in Barkhan district, measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale with a depth of 25 kilometers.
