Gold prices in Karachi have continued their upward trend, reaching a new historic high. According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs 8,500 to reach Rs 470,862.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 7,288, taking it to Rs 403,688, marking the first time in Pakistan’s history that the rate has crossed the Rs 400,000 level.
Gold prices also witnessed a strong rise in the international market, where the per ounce rate increased by $85 to reach $4,485. It is worth noting that just a day earlier, gold prices had already surged by Rs 6,200 per tola, pushing both local and global gold markets to record-breaking levels.
