A positive development has emerged for the residents of Karachi, as the Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in the city.
According to the department, a weak westerly weather system will enter the country from January 16, which is expected to affect several districts of Sindh, including Karachi, where rainfall is likely on January 22 and 23.
The Meteorological Department stated that strong winds may blow in certain areas during the rain, prompting authorities to advise citizens to adopt precautionary measures to avoid any potential harm.
Experts noted that this spell of rain is expected to make the weather pleasant while also increasing the intensity of cold, with a possibility of lower temperatures during nighttime hours.
Citizens have been advised to ensure safety measures during rainfall and strong winds, carry umbrellas or other rain protection when going outdoors, and remain cautious on roads to prevent any untoward incidents.
