Karachi: Rain accompanied by strong winds was recorded in various parts of the city, while hail was also reported in some areas, bringing pleasant weather but also causing certain difficulties for residents.
After the rainfall, water accumulated on University Road in front of Samama Shopping Mall, affecting the flow of traffic and resulting in long queues of vehicles. Commuters faced difficulties, and traffic movement slowed down in several areas.
Similarly, potholes on the road leading from University Road to Gulistan-e-Johar caused water to collect, creating further inconvenience for motorists. Authorities have initiated drainage measures to clear the accumulated water and restore normal traffic flow.
In Malir Halt, Rifah-e-Aam, and adjoining areas, light to heavy rain was recorded at different intervals, while strong winds continued to blow. In Malir Cantt, heavy rainfall was accompanied by hail, and reports of hail were also received from certain parts of Gulistan-e-Johar.
Likewise, hail was reported during rainfall in Scheme 33 and surrounding areas, while rain and hail were also recorded in Gulshan-e-Jamal and nearby localities, reflecting a sudden change in weather conditions across the city.
