President Asif Ali Zardari met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Presidency, where both leaders held detailed discussions on mediation efforts to ease tensions in the Middle East and other key national matters.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar also accompanied the Prime Minister during the high-level meeting.
According to sources, the President was briefed on the evolving regional situation and diplomatic efforts, including Pakistan’s potential role in mediation to reduce tensions.
The meeting also included consultations on national security, economic conditions, and the country’s overall political situation, with a focus on addressing ongoing challenges.
