A spokesperson for the Sindh Health Department has confirmed the first dengue-related death in Karachi this year, with the case reported from District East, raising health concerns.
According to the spokesperson, a total of 198 dengue cases have been reported across Sindh this year, including 163 cases from Karachi alone, indicating a significant spread of the disease in the city.
He further stated that 24 dengue cases have been reported from Hyderabad Division, showing that the virus is spreading beyond Karachi.
The spokesperson added that 8 cases have been reported from Mirpurkhas Division and 3 cases from Sukkur Division, highlighting the presence of dengue in multiple regions of the province.
