US President Donald Trump has stated that a strong and capable team has been dispatched for the important negotiations taking place in Islamabad to ensure effective progress in discussions.
Speaking to journalists, the US President said that Vice President JD Vance, Jared Kushner, and Steve Witkoff will hold key meetings in Islamabad, where detailed discussions on important matters are expected.
He further added that the Strait of Hormuz will soon be fully reopened, while emphasizing that Iran must not possess nuclear weapons, stating that any such deal would be beneficial for the United States.
Meanwhile, a high-level Iranian delegation has also arrived in Islamabad for negotiations with the United States, while US Vice President JD Vance has departed for Islamabad as well.
The US delegation for the Islamabad talks will include Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, who will engage in discussions on various key issues.
