Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to further strengthen and enhance their strategic partnership, while also expressing commitment to expanding cooperation in trade, investment, and economic collaboration.
This development took place during an important meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Saudi Finance Minister at the Prime Minister House, where various aspects of bilateral relations and mutual cooperation were discussed in detail.
According to the official statement, the Saudi Finance Minister, along with his delegation, met the Prime Minister during a one-day visit, and conveyed good wishes for King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, referring to his recent telephonic conversation, appreciated Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s affection for Pakistan and reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthening the brotherly relations between the two countries.
The statement added that the Prime Minister acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s economic and financial support for Pakistan, stating that Saudi cooperation has consistently played a significant role in Pakistan’s economic stability.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to expand cooperation in trade, investment, and economic sectors, which is expected to open new avenues for bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan has always stood by Saudi Arabia in difficult times, adding that the relationship between the two countries is based on mutual trust, respect, and shared interests.
The statement further mentioned that both sides emphasized enhancing economic cooperation in line with the vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Asim Munir also attended the meeting.
Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to continuing cooperation with Saudi Arabia at all levels, while the Saudi delegation expressed strong interest in expanding economic ties with Pakistan.
According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Pakistan-Saudi relations are growing stronger over time, and both countries also discussed joint efforts for promoting peace in the region.
