The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has issued arrest warrants for Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, sisters of former PTI chairman Imran Khan, in the October 4 protest case. The court noted that an FIR against both women is registered at Kohsar Police Station and that they repeatedly failed to appear despite multiple summons.
During the hearing, ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Supra ordered the arrest warrants, stating that the repeated absence of the accused left the court with no choice but to take legal action. He added that despite several opportunities, neither of the two appeared before the court.
The court directed authorities to arrest and produce both women and adjourned the proceedings until November 22. Officials were instructed to ensure that all legal requirements related to the arrests are fulfilled.
